Selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks (6^th Round, Pick 182) in the 2019 MLB Draft … Collegiate Baseball Second-Team All-American … Big Ten Pitcher of the Year … First-Team All-Big Ten … First-Team ABCA All-Mideast Region … Academic All-Big Ten … Made 15 appearances on the mound for the Hoosiers with 12 starts … Posted an 8-1 record with a 2.84 ERA … Struck out 98 batters in 73 innings … Struck out 10 or more hitters in five of his 12 starts, all coming in a six-game stretch … His 10-plus strikeout games streak reached four in the Michigan State win (4/21), where he punched out 11 hitters and allowed one run on two hits in seven innings … In his Mar. 17th start against Canisius, went seven innings, allowing five hits and one run with 14 strikeouts and two walks … The 14 strikeouts marked the most for an Indiana pitcher since Zach McClellan had 14 against Vermont on Mar. 18, 2000 … Also struck out 14 in the team’s 6-5 win over Evansville on Apr. 13.

Appeared in 16 games, starting four times … Finished the season with a 3.79 ERA, striking out 47 batters in 35.2 IP … Struck out eight batters in 5.1 IP in the NCAA Regional start against Texas (6/3) … Struck out five batters in two innings of relief in an appearance against Maryland (5/18) … Threw three innings and earned a victory against Ball State (4/18), striking out seven batters without giving up a hit or a walk in the relief appearance … Had four straight appearances where he did not give up a run (3/16-4/18) … During the stretch, he threw seven innings (all in relief), struck out 15 batters, gave up no hits, and only allowed two walks all in IU victories.
