Answer:
No - we can employ a high-school, prep-school or two-year college coach at an IU camp or clinic as long as:
- The coach receives compensation that is commensurate with the going rate for camp counselors of like teaching ability and camp experience;
- The coach is not paid on the basis of the value he or she may have for the owner/operator of the camp because of his or her reputation or contact with prospects; and
- The coach is not compensated or reimbursed based on the number of campers he or she sends to the camp. [13.13.2.2.1]
