Question:
Is it permissible for currently enrolled student-athletes to list the names of prospective student-athletes coming to campus for an official or unofficial visit in their dorm windows, on the Jordan Bridge near Law Lane, or on a banner hung from their apartment balcony to welcome these recruits to campus?
Answer:
Yes, but no one in the athletics department can arrange or suggest it. So, if our student-athletes choose to do this on their own initiative and pay for the cost of the materials themselves, it would be permissible. [S 12/21/88, item ref. h]
