Compliance Question Of The Week
Question:
If we know for sure that a prospect is going to sign an NLI on April 10th to attend IU this fall, is it permissible for us to go ahead (now) and publicize his/her intention to sign with us?
Answer:
No, before a prospect actually signs an NLI or our written offer of admission, we may comment publicly only to the extent of confirming our recruitment of the prospect. We cannot comment generally about the prospect's ability or the contribution that the prospect might make to our team; further, we are precluded from commenting in any manner as to the likelihood of the prospect's signing with Indiana.
