What types of contact (and how often) may you make with a prospect who will be entering the senior class this fall (now that it is July 11, 2002)? Remember: the answer will vary according to sport.

Depends on the sport - see below:
Football: No in person off-campus contact or telephone calls are permissible right now. Official visits can begin on or after the prospect's first day of class for his senior year. Weekly telephone calls can begin in September. No in-person, off-campus contact until the winter contact period. Unofficial visits may occur at any time except for a dead period.
Women's Basketball: No in-person, off-campus contact right now as this is an evaluation only period. Can make three telephone calls in July, but no more than one call per week. Weekly telephone calls permitted as of August 1. Can only make in-person, off-campus contacts during a contact period. Official visits can start as of the prospect's first day of class.> Unofficial visits may occur at any time except for a dead period.
Men's Basketball: No in-person, off-campus contact right now as this is either an evaluation or dead period (during July). Can make three telephone calls in July. Weekly telephone calls permitted as of August 1. Can only make in-person, off-campus contacts during a contact period. No official or unofficial visits during July.
