Compliance Question Of The Week
Question:
Actually, it's a Tip of the Week ? the following statements are permissible in a cover letter to send with a questionnaire to prospects younger than juniors in high school [per the CCACA conference call on 04/07/04]:
· Greetings from Indiana University!! It has been a pleasure watching you play!
· You may also get further information about our athletics program if you visit www.iuhoosiers.com
· Listing of all coaches names, email and IM addresses and phone numbers (office and cell). NO reference to toll free #'s!
· STATEMENT: "Please keep in mind that if you call or instant message and we do not answer, you have to keep trying until you reach us. We are not permitted to call you back....So please keep trying until you reach us."
Remember: Please keep Kathy informed of all the additions AND deletions to your Institution Request List, so that the CH report is up-to-date and accurately reflects the names of all incoming prospects. She, in turn, will keep Student Services, Compliance, Training Room and Equipment Room staffs informed.
Coaches ? earn 10 points this week by verifying (by Friday, April 16 at noon) with Kathy that your Clearinghouse list is up-to-date and that you have deleted off any names of prospects who won't be attending IU this Fall.
Staff ? earn 5 points for each IU contest or FB practice you attend this week (10 if you go out to Lake Lemon for Rowing). Scroll down on the main page of the intranet for all of the events for the week (BB, SB, MTN, Rowing, FB)You will need to email me next Monday of the events you attended to be awarded your points.
