True or False: It is permissible per Big Ten rules/agreements to provide a complimentary admission to a student-athlete to all regular-season home athletics events (in sports other than the one the student-athlete competes in) as long as tickets are available.
Answer:
False!
While the first part of the statement is true per Big Ten Agreement 16.2.1.3, it doesn't say "except in football, men's basketball, and men's ice hockey." So, we can not provide complimentary admissions to home contests in the sports of football and men's basketball to student-athletes who are not participants in football (if it's a football game) or men's basketball (if it's a men's basketball game) unless (1) the student-athlete is hosting a prospect on an official visit or (2) the student-athlete is being recognized or honored at the contest.
