Question:
Is it permissible for an IU Athletics staff member to be affiliated with a third-party organization (e.g., coaches association, administrator organization) that operates or endorses a recruiting or scouting service involving prospects?
Answer:
This would be permissible provided no IU Athletics staff members were involved in the operation, endorsement or oversight of the service AND access to the service is available to all coaches or institutions on an equal basis regardless of affiliation with the third-party organization. [NCAA OI 03/23/05]
