Question:If a coach makes a contact and evaluation on the same day, does the coach utilize a contact, evaluation, or one contact and one evaluation?
Answer:I n all sports except football, the coach has used one contact and one evaluation towards the permissible seven (five for women's basketball) recruiting opportunities for the prospect. In football, an evaluation that occurs during a permissible contact period only counts as a contact. (Bylaws 13.1.8.10 and 13.1.8.13).F or all sports, outside of the academic year, evaluations do not count against the permissible annual number of recruiting opportunities. All contacts and evaluations are subject to recruiting calendar restrictions. (Bylaw 13.1.6.5)
