Question:
Is there a time limit for a prospective student-athlete to complete his/her high school core-curriculum requirements to become a qualifier?
Answer:
YES. The prospective SA has to complete his/her core-curriculum course requirements no later that the date of high school graduation for his/her class. (NCAA 14.3.1.2.1)
Exception: One core-curriculum course may be completed in the year after graduation (summer or academic year), but no later, to satisfy his/her core-curriculum or minimum GPA requirement. This can be done at the high school he/she has graduated from or at another location. He/she cannot receive institutional financial aid while enrolled in this requirement during the summer after high school. (NCAA 14.3.1.2.1.1)
