Question:
I remember that admissions standards for 2011 are changing. How so?
Answer:
Admissions standards are continuingly getting tougher. The two changes that most affect your 2011 incomers are:
1. An applicant must have 4 semesters of a world language.
2. An applicant must have 7 semesters of math; including Algebra, Adv. Algebra, Geometry, and at least one semester in Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, or Calculus.
Unless further changes are made, neither of these requirements may be waived through sponsorship. In an effort to avoid issues remember to educate your PSAs, and please get transcripts to me (Anne) as early as possible in the recruiting process.
As always, remember to have your domestic freshmen and transfers apply using a marked paper application sent directly to Anne! Please find the Freshman 2010 & Transfer 2010 applications attached to this email. Feel free to have your 2011s use these applications until the 2011 applications are printed. And yes, if they have their completed junior year (6 semester) transcript, they can apply anytime! Talk to Anne.
