Question:
When off (or on) campus evaluating, what do we need to know?
Answer:
There is a lot of information in regards to this question, here are some highlights:
- Only those countable coaches certified
- No contact with any prospect before his/her competition (on the day, or day before if "reported with team").
- No contact until the entire event is over for the individual and he/she has been released from competition and has departed the facility.
- No passing notes, asking coaches to pass on messages, etc.
- No placing yourself in a position where an "accidental" contact will occur.
- There are limits on sending e-mails while the prospect is on call at the site of the competition
- Same with permissible phone calls - don't call while they are with their team for a competition-related activity.
Its also important to note that there are several excepections in various situations.
