Compliance Question Of The Week
Compliance Question Of The Week
Question:
Can you give a refresher on phone call rules and procedure?
Answer:
Remember that for the most part, only countable coaches (which does not include strength and conditioning coaches) can make or receive phone calls to or from prospects, their families or their coaches. There's an occasional exception to this, and one or two of these exceptions are legislated (academic advisors for example may make a countable call) but some are interpretative. If you are not a countable coach and are making or receiving phone calls from prospects or their coaches, please check with compliance soon to verify if that's permissible.
Those who arrange complimentary tickets and practice visits for high school/club coaches (for example) are generally OK to communicate with such individuals, but not about anything other than logistics of nonrecruiting matters. And e-mail is best.
