Question:
Can an incoming prospect who has signed an NLI for 09-10, graduate H.S. early and come to IU then receive athletic aid for spring of 2009?
Answer:
No - this would violate the restriction on the athletic tender being issued for more than one year. What can be done is this prospect can ask for a full release from the NLI, which would void the tender. Then they could come for spring 09 and receive available and agreed upon athletic aid. Their aid for the 09-10 year would then just follow normal renewal policies.
