Cream vs. Crimson 2010

The Indiana football program will hold its annual Cream & Crimson Spring Game on Saturday, April 17. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. Below is a list of events happening in and around Memorial Stadium:
- Student Athletic Board Alumni Reunion and Tailgate: The Student Athletic Board Alumni Association invites you and your family to the SAB reunion tailgate before the Cream vs. Crimson game. Come join past and current SAB members at the festivities, which begin at 4 p.m. The tailgate is free of charge for SAB alumni and their families and will be located at the north entrance to Memorial Stadium. Please RSVP to sab@alumni.iu.edu.
- Bark in the Park: We encourage everyone to participate in "Bark in the Park," hosted by Indiana University Athletics, during the IU Cream vs. Crimson Spring Game. "Bark in the Park" is a promotion that allows IU football fans to enjoy the privilege of bringing their dogs into Memorial Stadium while they watch the game. Your presence at this event will help us towards our goal of making this year's spring game the most fun and successful one yet!
- Taste of the Rock: Come to Memorial Stadium early to enjoy a taste of Bloomington's finest restaurants as part of your football tailgate. Check back later for a list of participating restaurants.
- Little 500 Kick-off: A tradition like nothing else. Get Little 500 week off to a great start!! See all the participating houses in the 60th running of the Little 500.
- Kick for Tuition: IU students, here is your chance to win FREE tuition for a year! One randomly selected student will be chosen from the crowd to attempt a field goal from the 40 yard-line for free tuition. Make sure you are in the stands for this great opportunity!
- Tour of Henke Hall: Be one of the first to experience the Henke Hall of Champions, celebrating the achievements of IU Athletics over the years. Tours will be offered prior to the start of the game.
- Kids Zone: Interact with IU student-athletes while getting your face painted, playing games and winning prizes.
- Marching Hundred: The Marching Hundred will perform prior to the game and at halftime of the Cream vs. Crimson football game.
- Texts for Plays: You the fan will have the opportunity to call run or pass plays throughout the game. If it's fourth and long for the Crimson and you are on the Cream side, text run to help your team out.
- Hoosier eCycle Day: Bring your tailgate supplies and your old electronics to the annual Cream vs. Crimson Spring IU Football game! Support a good cause, get rid of your old electronic equipment, and enjoy a great day of Hoosier football and game-day festivities! Look for the IUAA Hoosier E-Cycle Day drop-off area on the Northeast side of Memorial Stadium from 3pm - 6pm. Bring vintage desktop computers, laptops, keyboards, peripherals, cables, cell phones, and accessories. Working merchandise will be rebuilt into usable units and donated to local non-profits. Unusable electronics will be securely recycled. Proceeds from this event will support the IUAA Monroe County Chapter scholarship program. - Spring Green Pilot Game:
- Carbon neutrality - IU will offset the carbon produced by electricity use, transportation, and food consumption during the game by trading 100W incandescent bulb with the equivalent 23W CFL (you save about 800 pounds of carbon over the life of one bulb) in the Bloomington-area after the game
- Recycling during tailgating pilot - Volunteers will circulate the tailgating area, instructing fans on the proper techniques - will distribute bags (clear for recycling, black for trash) and educate and encourage fans to recycle
- Recycling inside Memorial Stadium - Volunteers will co-locate garbage and recycling bins in the stadium, educating and encouraging fans to recycle, and supervising recycling of aluminum, plastic, cardboard, etc. in the stadium
- Vendor waste reduction - Supervised recycling should assist in reducing contamination of cardboard, paperboard
- Eco Cell phone collection - Volunteers will supervise collection of cell phones for recycling - recycled phones reduce the destruction to gorilla habitat and proceeds from our effort benefit campus sustainability (learn more here)
- Bike Valet - Volunteers will valet bicycles on the west concourse of the stadium - encouraging alternate methods of transportation to athletic events
- Education tables - Various campus sustainability groups will provide information on their many successes across campus.
- Random Prizes: Fans of both the Cream and the Crimson will have several opportunities to win prizes at random points during the game. Some of the prizes will consist of products from Blakeway Panoramas, Logo Chair Inc., and Adidas.
