Student Athletic Board

What is SAB?
Student Athletic Board (SAB) is a student-run organization founded in 1956 by Indiana University President Herman B Wells and Athletic Director Frank Allen. For decades, SAB has served as the voice of the IU student body at recurrent meetings with IU Athletic Department administrators.
Today, SAB is known as “The Spirit Behind IU Athletics” and actively leads the Crimson Guard student section for all IU varsity sports. SAB is also active in planning and organizing several other amazing events such as the Candy Stripe Classic 3v3 basketball tournament, a Homecoming Parade float, road trips to away games, and much more.
Membership is free and open to all Indiana University students. For up-to-date details about SAB events: follow SAB on Twitter and Instagram (@IU_SAB). Email SAB@indiana.edu to get involved!
