Student Athletic Board Committees
Women's Basketball
The chairs and directors are behind the basket at every home game to cheer on the women's basketball team. Some highlights from this year include traveling to watch the team take on Purdue, attending a team practice, and throwing out t-shirts after every 3-pointer made!
Men's Basketball
The men's basketball committee plans and coordinates in-game promotions like balloons behind the basket and tifos in the student section. They work to make the Crimson Guard the best student section in college basketball!
Field Hockey/Women’s Soccer
This committee plans and executes promotions around Field Hockey and Women’s Soccer by putting on events and supporting them in the stands.
Football
The football committee spends the season coming up with new and exciting ways to enhance students' football game day experience. During the off-season, they are hard at work planning for the spring football game.
Men's Soccer
The men's soccer committee hosts weekly Hoosier Army meetings to plan for upcoming games and promotions. During the game, you'll find them running flags, throwing out t-shirts, handing out big heads, and much more to make an awesome game day experience for all students.
Olympic
The Olympic committee plans promotions for all of IU's Olympic sports!
Volleyball
You'll find (and hear) the volleyball committee front row at every match! They spend the season finding new ways to get students to come out and have fun at volleyball.
Baseball
The baseball committee spends the whole school year planning for baseball season. Students can expect a season full of excitement, giveaways, and new traditions!
Softball
The softball committee is hard at work planning for softball season once they are on back campus for the school year! They are at every home game helping create a great atmosphere for students.
Alumni Relations
The Alumni Relations helps create and maintain relationships with our SAB alumni. They play a key role in planning Homecoming and other annual alumni events.
Candy Stripe Classic
One of SAB’s notorious annual events, the Candy Stripe Classic is a large 3v3 basketball tournament that takes place in Assembly Hall. This committee helps plan the event, coordinate the bracket, and provide tournament-day operations.
Community Relations
Our community relations committee coordinates weekly visits to the Boys & Girls Club and other philanthropic events throughout the year.
Homecoming
Every year, SAB puts together an award-winning float for the homecoming parade and participates in the university-wide homecoming events. We take pride in our commitments to this week and enjoy literally building school spirit.
Public Relations
The Public Relations committee creates the SAB newsletters, graphics, apparel, and other promotional materials.???????
Social Events
Social events help our mass members, chairs, and directors bond and get to know each other throughout the year! Some highlights from this year were SAB Parent's Weekend, a kickball tournament in Mellencamp Pavilion, and a holiday party in the Spirit of '76 Club.
