Starting with Bill and Gayle Cook’s gift in 2009 that made the construction of Cook Hall possible, Athletics has secured 16 of the 17 largest gifts in Department history. In the last ten years, Athletics has raised more than triple the funds in one million dollar-plus gifts than in the entire rest of the history of the Department.
In 2015, For All: The Indiana University Bicentennial Campaign was publicly announced with a goal of $3 billion. As of December 31, 2018, Athletics had already raised $201,169,040 of its $215 million goal. This goal for philanthropic gifts is the second highest among all units across the University, behind only the School of Medicine.
