Advisory Committee

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) was established in the fall of 1994 for the purpose of giving student-athletes a voice within the Athletics Department. SAAC members review NCAA legislation and make suggestions to the Big Ten Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for future legislation. SAAC strives to promote communication between student-athletes and the athletics administration. They recognize and discuss issues within the department and work to build a sense of community among all athletic teams through social and community service activities.

Athletic Director’s Council on
Diversity and Inclusivity

The Athletic Director’s Council on Diversity and Inclusivity is an important initiative designed to create a forum for student-athletes to discuss and address issues relating to diversity and inclusivity in our department, campus and surrounding community. The Council is comprised of representatives from each varsity sport program and meets regularly with the Athletic Director to explore issues and formulate solutions in order to maintain a diverse and inclusive environment in our athletic department.
