Make plans today to return to Bloomington for the 116th annual IU Homecoming Weekend. Homecoming Weekend will include a mix of celebrations and campus events culminating with the football game on Saturday, October 21, as the Hoosiers take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at 12 p.m. ET.
Homecoming Events
Homecoming Parade – Friday, October 20 @ 5:30 p.m.
Woodlawn Avenue
Friday night, line Woodlawn Avenue (between 13th and 17th streets) for the annual IU Homecoming parade, which steps off at 5:30 p.m. Parade goers can park in nearby lots surrounding IU’s Memorial Stadium and Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall or simply walk from campus or downtown hotels. The parade boasts an extraordinary display of IU spirit and community—bands, floats, cheerleaders, motorized drill teams, student and civic groups and much more! Hoosier Hysteria – Friday, October 20 @ 7:30 p.m. ET
Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall
After the Homecoming Parade, stop by Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall for Hoosier Hysteria, a first-look at this season’s Indiana basketball teams. Players and coaches from IU Men’s and Women’s Basketball will be introduced, take part in skills competitions, and Head Coaches Mike Woodson and Teri Moren will address the crowd. Admission is free! However, fans are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item to one of the Hoosier Hills Food Bank collection bins upon entering the arena. Hoosier Huddle Homecoming Tailgate Party – Saturday, October 21 @ 9:00 a.m.
DeVault Alumni Center, 1000 E. 17th St. (Directly across from Memorial Stadium)
Kick off game day with the Hoosier Huddle—a family-friendly IU Alumni Association Homecoming tailgate party. Join fellow IU alumni and friends for food, entertainment, and festivities before heading over to the stadium to cheer on the Hoosiers. Please register in advance below!
