Indiana Football Game Day Parking
All gameday lots are CASHLESS!
In an effort to enhance the safety, access, and convenience associated with parking in and around Memorial Stadium on IU Football gamedays, IU Athletics has put the following procedures into place.
Prepaid Options
Fans interested in parking in the IU Athletics surface or grass lots nearest Memorial Stadium are strongly encouraged to purchase their parking in advance to ensure availability. You can do so by calling our ticket office at 812-855-4006 or visit our website at iuhoosiers.com.
ADA Parking
ADA Parking can be found in Gate 12 (located off of Fee Lane) for $50 per game. Vehicles must display a state issued ADA placard or license plate.
Grass Lots
One Pass = One Space
Grass lots open a minimum of 5 hours prior to kickoff. The Grass Reserved, Park Avenue, and Forrest Avenue grass lots immediately south of Memorial Stadium will utilize guided parking for all vehicles. We also utilize Waze navigation so you can GPS directly to your lot/gate here. Grass Lot Parking must be purchased in advance - you cannot purchase Grass Lot parking passes on gameday at the gate entrance.
Upon entry to the general admission grass lots, parking attendants will direct each vehicle to the next available parking space. The lots will be filled from the front of the lot nearest the stadium to the back of the lot in the order the cars arrive, utilizing every available parking spot. Cars that want to park next to each other in Park Avenue or Forrest Avenue lots will need to arrive at the same time.
Guided parking is limited to the general admission grass lots. All surface parking lots around Memorial Stadium, the reserved parking grass lots, and the parking garages on the IU campus will continue to allow parking permit holders to park in any available parking space.
The guided parking procedure is commonplace at many major entertainment events, including sports. The benefits are:
- Improved safety for those who are parking, walking, working, or tailgating in the general admission grass lots;
- Increased access to parking near Memorial Stadium since every parking spot will be utilized
- Expedited entry into a parking spot, since cars will no longer be allowed to freely roam the lot to identify a preferred spot;
- Expedited exit from the parking lot, since tailgating supplies will now all be located behind vehicles and not in parking spaces or in exit lanes.
Grass Lot Reserved (A & B) – The reserved grass lots can be accessed by turning south onto Indiana Avenue from E 17th Street. You will then turn right on Indiana Avenue to access the Reserved Grass Lot A. Turning left off of Indiana Avenue. will take you to Reserved Grass Lot B.
Park Avenue Grass Lot (C & D & E) – These lots can be accessed by either: o Heading south on Dunn St to East 13th Street., and then following the signs to Park Avenue Grass Lots, or
- Proceeding north on Indiana Avenue, then turning right onto East 13th Street and following the signs to Park Avenue Grass Lot.
Forrest Avenue Grass Lot (F & G) – These lots can be accessed by either: o turning south onto Walnut Grove from East 17th Street then turning right onto East 14th Street and following the signs to Forrest Avenue Grass Lot, or
- Proceeding west on East 13th Street then turning right onto Walnut Grove, and then turning left onto East 14th Street and following the signs to Forrest Avenue Grass Lot.
Surface Lots
One Pass = One Space
All surface lots will open a minimum of 5 hours prior to kickoff. Please download your parking pass in advance before you get to our parking attendant. To ensure parking availability for all parking pass holders, please tailgate in grass or behind your vehicle. Always leave a drive lane to ensure game day operations staff and safety vehicles can enter and exit the area at all times, and to ensure access to late-arriving fans.
RV Lots
Lot Opening Times and information: Overnight RV lots open at 6 p.m. the night before each home game. Please do not stage your RV anywhere on the athletic complex before that time. We also ask that you do not line up at the entrance before 5pm as this could cause a traffic hazard. We do not provide hookups for RVs in any of our lots. In addition:
- Gate 9 RV passes are for RV use only. You are not permitted to park a car around/next to your RV for any period of time if you are in the paved RV lot.
- You are permitted to stay until Noon on Sunday following the game unless there is another IU Athletics event that is affected. If this is the case, you will receive advance notification.
- All parking passes have a QR code on the back that opens the Waze map app on your phone. This will allow you, or anyone using your pass, to get directions directly to the gate number printed on the pass.
- Your RV parking pass entitles you to (one) recreational vehicle. Motor vehicles (cars, trucks, vans) towed behind a recreational vehicle will be required to park in the nearest paid lot. Recreational vehicles that are NON motorized and require a vehicle to be towed (5th wheel or bumper poll camper) will be permitted to park their tow vehicle next to their RV/camper.
