Morgan Colopy – a four-year letterwinner for the Hoosiers, joined the staff as a Program Assistant following his graduation in July of 2024. The Centerville, Ohio native assists with day-to-day operations, ordering meals, travel items and summer/winter baseball camps. He was promoted to Director of Operations in the summer of 2025.
Colopy played in 139 games with 86 starts during his time as an outfielder at IU. He recorded 81 hits, 21 doubles and 14 home runs for the Hoosiers. He is best remembered for a walk-off home run in a Saturday game against Iowa in 2023. He also homered in the NCAA Knoxville Regional in 2024.
He is one of two former players for head coach Jeff Mercer on this year’s staff. Assistant coach Zach Weatherford played for Mercer during their days at Wright State. Prior to Indiana, Colopy spent a semester at Cincinnati. He was a 34th round pick of the San Francisco Giants in the 2019 MLB Draft. He graduated with a degree in Liberal Studies in the spring of 2024.
