Righty came back from offseason elbow surgery to make six starts with a 5.74 ERA ... went 3-2 on the year, allowing just 13 walks and 35 hits in 31 1/3 innings of work ... made his first appearance of 2010, starting and going 2 2/3 innings, at Minnesota (4/25) ... tossed five innings in his second start of the season, needing just 53 pitches to hold Purdue to two runs (5/2) ... pitched a brilliant 6 2/3 innings at Northwestern (5/9), allowing three hits and taking a one-hitter into the seventh ... went 5 2/3 innings at Michigan State (5/16), allowing two earned runs in a win ... delivered a gutsy performance in the finale against Illinois (5/22), tossing a season-high 7 1/3 innings.
