Made 20 appearances with eight starts, posting a 3-3 record with a 3.91 ERA and three saves, all of which came in conference play...Struck out 38 batters in 53.0 innings on the mound...Picked up a three inning save and struck out five in the win over Ohio State (5/19)...With Indiana leading 4-3 in the eighth, came in and struck out Louisville’s Brandon McKay to help secure the victory...Threw two scoreless innings for relief in the win over No. 15 Maryland (4/30)...Tallied a second-straight save at No. 13 Michigan (4/21), as he tossed a perfect two innings with a strikeout...Picked up his first career save against Minnesota (4/16), throwing three innings allowing just one hit and striking out one...Tossed three shutout innings in his start at Indiana State (4/11)...Struck out four over four innings while allowing one run on three hits in his start against Ball State (4/4)...Started and picked up the win over Evansville (3/28), allowing two runs over five innings to improve to 3-2...Hurled four quality innings of relief to earn the win over Cincinnati (3/22), allowing one run and one hit...Earned his first career win over Gonzaga (2/17), allowing an unearned run over five innings with three strikeouts and no walks.

Played for head coach Kyle Kraemer at Terre Haute South Vigo High School … was a four-year letterwinner in baseball … named a 2015 All-Wabash Valley selection and was also selected All-Conference Indiana … during senior season, went 6-2, striking out 50 batters in 42 innings, posting a 2.33 ERA and one save … team won the 2013 MIC Championship … also earned three letters in football and two in basketball … in 2015, was a First Team All-State selection at the quarterback position, leading his team to the 2015 Sectional and Conference Indiana football titles...son of Tim and Kathy Herrin … has three brothers, Carter, Trey and Christopher … born on October 8, 1996 … plans on majoring in Finance.
