Four-year letterwinner in cross country and three-time letterwinner in track at Carmel High School ... as a junior, part of the 4x800-meter relay team that took a first-place finish at the Nike Indoor Championships, setting an indoor state record ... also won the 4x800-meter title at the state meet in 2004 ... a third-place finisher at the Nike Indoor Championship as part of the distance medley relay in 2005 ... finished ninth in the mile at the same meet ... captured a fifth-place finish at the state meet in the 4x800-meter as a sophomore.
