Prior to her appointment at Indiana, Volgraf served as a head coach within the USA Field Hockey Futures program at Pennsylvania Site 5L. Volgraf also coached the U-16 and U-19 indoor teams at the Viper Field Hockey Club in Royersford, Pennsylvania.
Players in Bloomington, Big Ten country, and the East Coast recognize Volgraf as one of the shining examples of collegiate hockey, on and off the turf. A five-year player and team captain for Indiana (20011-15), Volgraf started on the forward line and scored 16 goals (14th – IU history) in her career. A three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Volgraf earned Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honors her senior year alongside an All-Big Ten Sportsmanship award.
A 2016 winner of the conference’s most exclusive award, the Big Ten Medal of Honor, Volgraf was a finalist for the 2016 NCAA Woman of the Year award and served as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) president in her collegiate career.
Nicole Volgraf graduated from Indiana University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Merchandising, with a minor in Business Marketing from the Kelley School of Business.
