• Jeff McInerney is in his eighth season as a quality control assistant for the Indiana football program.
• Worked as the co-defensive coordinator (2015), special teams coordinator (2014-15), and defensive line coach (2014) at Henderson State University.
• Compiled a 48-41 record as head coach at Central Connecticut State University from 2006-13.
• Finalist for the 2009 Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year and named the 2009 Northeast Conference Coach of the Year.
• CCSU won a pair of conference titles and earned its first ever ranking in the Division I-AA coaches poll in 2009.
• Spent two seasons as the defensive coordinator at the University of Rhode Island from 2004-05.
• Also served as an assistant coach at Slippery Rock, Troy, Southern Illinois, UTEP, Georgia Southern, Rice, Duke, Southern California, Oregon State, UNLV, Tulsa, and North Dakota State.
• Member of three staffs that have won national championships (Troy - 1984, 1987; Georgia Southern - 1990).
• Received his bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University in 1982 and his master’s degree from Troy University in 1984.
• First coaching jobs came at Slippery Rock as an undergraduate in 1981 and a graduate assistant in 1982.
• Jeff and his wife, Leslie, have one son, Ryan, and one daughter, Amy.
