• Matt Clapp is in his fifth season as an athletic performance coach with the Indiana football program.
• Served as a graduate assistant football strength and conditioning coach at the University of Akron in 2014.
• A strength and conditioning intern coach at the University of Arizona and with the Arizona Rattlers the previous season.
• In 2012, worked at Triple Threat Performance in Scottsdale, Ariz., where he directed plyometric stations and specific football drills.
• Spent time on NFL practice squads in Indianapolis, New Orleans, Tampa Bay and Detroit.
• Starred at the University of Oklahoma (2005-09), where he played fullback.
• Team captain played in the 2009 BCS Championship Game, was a part of four additional bowl teams and a member of three Big 12 championship squads.
• Collected first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2008 to go along with academic first-team honors that same campaign.
• Earned his bachelor’s degree in social science and educational studies from Oklahoma and his master’s degree in sports science/coaching principles from Akron.
• Clapp is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and USAW1.
• Matt and his wife, Rachel, reside in Bloomington with their dog, Mooey.
