• Worked as a defensive graduate assistant at Georgia Tech from 2017-19.
• Spent the 2015 and 2016 campaigns as tight ends coach at Virginia Military Institute.
• Coached first-team All-Southern Conference tight end Ryan Swingle.
• Played tight end at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va., from 2011-14.
• Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in American studies in 2015 and a master’s degree in building construction and facilities management in 2019.
• The son of current VMI head coach Scott Wachenheim.
