Francis Meehan enters his first season as a graduate assistant for the defensive backs under first-year head coach Curt Cignetti.
He was a four-year letterwinner for Cignetti at James Madison (2018-23) and earned honorable mention All-Sun Belt as a senior. He started 10 games in his final season and pulled in three interceptions.
Meehan helped the Dukes to a 38-8 overall record during his final four seasons, a pair of Sun Belt East Division titles and the 2023 Armed Forces Bowl, the first FBS bowl appearance in program history.
Along with his on-field accolades, Meehan was a part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was a representative for the CAA Student-Athlete Wellness and Sports Performance Committee.
Meehan earned his bachelor’s degree in bachelor's degree sport and recreation management from James Madison (2022) and a post-graduate certificate in cyber intelligence (2023).
