Howard is in his third year with the Hoosier and first as the Assistant Director of Recruiting and Operations. A native of Indianapolis, he joined the coaching staff as a graduate manager for two seasons after serving as a four-year student manager at Indiana. He was the team’s head student manager in 2021-22.
Howard serves as the President of Men’s Basketball Operations for Grow The Game, a manager-run organization helping the next generation of coaches build genuine relationships and advance in their career. As part of his duties, Howard fundraises and hosts the Grow the Game Zoom Series which has hosted coaches of all levels and positions in the game of basketball.
Howard was named the National Student Manager of the Year at the 2022 NCAA Final Four in New Orleans by the Grow the Game manager community. He was invited to the third annual TopConnect Leadership Academy hosted by Rob Ehsan. The GA Leadership Academy consists of 22 high-achieving graduate assistants across the country.
Howard attended Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in Indianapolis, where he played for his father, Todd Howard. His mother, Patti Howard, is a 1993 graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Adam has one sister, Katie.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Marketing and Management from Indiana University’s School of Public Health in 2022.
Howard is pursuing his master’s degree in Athletic Administration and Sports Management and is set to graduate in the spring of 2024.
