Chicago, Illinois native Gabe Snider is in his third season at IU as a Graduate Manager. He is pursing a master's degree in sports management. Snider earned a bachelors degree in marketing from the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC), where he had a four-year career for the Flames. Snider played his senior season at UIC under Steve McClain, former IU assistant coach.
At UIC, Snider played in 80 games, leading the Flames in 3-point percentage in his freshman, sophomore and senior seasons. In his first season as a Flame, Snider contributed in the first UIC men's basketball postseason victory. In his final season, he averaged 15.6 minutes per contest and tallied nine games with multiple 3-pointers, two of which he poured in six 3-point field goals.
In 2016, UIC named Snider the winner of the Don Nash Award, for exemplifying continuous academic and civic responsibility.
Snider Graduated from Whitney M. Young High School, where he was a top-10 shooting guard in the state of Illinois as a junior according to Hoops Report, and a top-40 prospect .
He is the son of Kevin and Nita Snider, and the brother of Taylor, who played college basketball at Pepperdine University.
