• Grossman is in his ninth year as Assistant Athletic Director-Basketball Administration and assumed his current position in late April of 2008.
• The 2016-17 season marks his 25th year in Division I basketball, with stops at Cincinnati and Marquette prior to his arrival at Indiana.
•Grossman is responsible for the Hoosiers day-to-day administration of the program, working closely with academic support staffs, media relations, fund raising, business and compliance staffs and he oversees the program’s University and Community outreach endeavors.
• In addition to the daily oversight of the program, Grossman manages the scheduling of games & tournaments, serves as an instructor in IU’s School of Public Health
•He joined IU after spending five seasons alongside Coach Crean at Marquette as the Coordinator of Student-Athlete Performance. In that role, he supervised the sports medicine, academic, and strength and conditioning programs that supported the athletics program.
• Grossman joined Marquette after serving as the men’s basketball athletic trainer at the University of Cincinnati from 1993 to 2003.
• Grossman earned national recognition when he was selected to work at the USA Basketball National Team Trials in 2000, and then in again in 2001, when he was named as athletic trainer for the gold-medal winning USA 21-and-under World Championship team.
• Prior to his time at Cincinnati, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Virginia from August 1992 to June 1993.
• A native of Evansville, Wis., Grossman earned a bachelor’s of science degree in athletic training from Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 1992 and a master’s of education in Sports Medicine from Virginia in 1993.
