REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2025-26): Notched a Fall 8-6 singles record and an 8-5 doubles record ... qualified for his second NCAA Individual Championships doubles appearance after reaching the semifinals of the Big Ten Individual Championship with teammate Sam Landau (Oct. 30), where they reached the round of 32 ... reached the singles round of 16 in the Ohio Valley Regional Championships (Oct. 9).
REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2024-25): Had a 10-3 singles record with a 5-1 record in dual matches and 5-2 fall record … He was 4-1 at No. 1 singles and 1-0 at No. 2 singles … Yunis was 14-3 in doubles matches with a 5-0 record in dual matches … him and Jip van Assendelft reached the Round of 16 of the NCAA Doubles Championships in Waco, Texas … the duo won their first match of the tournament … Academic All-Big Ten … was named to Big Ten Men’s Tennis Players to Watch List before the season.
FRESHMAN (2023-24): Went 12-9 in spring singles playing at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots … posted a 14-4 mark in spring doubles, primarily in the No. 3 doubles spot … earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
He is a native of Munich, Germany. He will be the first German player to compete for Indiana Men's Tennis since the 2009-10 season.
Yunis finished his prep career as the No. 70 ranked player in the ITF's Singles Rankings.
