Jenkins is entering her third season in 2024 as part of Indiana's staff.
In 2024, Jenkins helped Indiana reach back-to-back NCAA Regionals, 40-win seasons and Big Ten Tournament Final appearances.
The Hoosiers went 40-20 on the year with a 12-11 conference mark, reached the final of the Big Ten Tournament and earned a spot in the NCAA Columbia Regional.
In her time as an assistant coach, Jenkins has helped the Hoosiers elevate their level of play, just like when she was on the roster.
In 2023, Indiana had its best season in 12 years. The Hoosiers posted a 44-18 record while going 18-5 in the Big Ten. The team reached the Big Ten Tournament Final as the No. 2 seed before falling to No. 1 seed Northwestern in a close 2-1 game. The Hoosiers were selected to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011, claiming the No. 2 seed in the Knoxville Regional. The Hoosiers won two games over No. 3 seed Louisville, but fell to No. 1 seed Tennessee in the Regional Final.
Jenkins and the entire coaching staff were named the 2023 ATEC/NFCA Midwest Region Staff of the Year.
In 2022, the team went 27-22 on the season while going 11-3 in neutral site games. The team fell in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament to No. 7 seed Penn State, 2-1.
Jenkins joined the coaching staff in August 2021 after an excellent playing career for the Hoosiers.
For Jenkins her final season in Bloomington as a player was a memorable one. The senior hit .331 for the season and stole 24 bases, in the process setting the Hoosiers all-time record for career stolen bases with 96. Jenkins led the conference with 18 doubles on the season to set a new Indiana program record for single season doubles. Jenkins hit her first career home run in walk off fashion to beat Penn State and added two more home runs on the season. Jenkins earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors following the Hoosiers series with Ohio State in which she hit .714 with 10 hits.
Jenkins was selected to the All-Big Ten First Team, All-Defensive Team and NFCA All-Region. She earned Academic All-Big Ten and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honors as well as a CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District selection.
Jenkins, who has an undergraduate degree from IU in Elementary Education and is working towards a degree in Educational Leadership, earned recognition earlier this year as the Indiana Athletics female nominee for the Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award.
