SENIOR (2018): Played in 31 matches and 115 sets in the 2018 season…170 kills for the season to finish her career with 774 career kills…63 blocks on the season to finish her career with 232 career blocks…season-high of 10 kills against Purdue…hit .538 with eight kills in the Hoosiers win against Ohio State.
JUNIOR (2017): Played in 32 matches and 111 of 112 sets during the 2017 season…served as the team captain for the season…career single season best of 261 kills and finished the season with 604 career kills…60 blocks for the season to push her career total blocks to 169…eight matches during the 2017 season with double digit kills…hit over .400 in 10 matches this season and over .300 in 17 matches for the 2017 season…had a five match run against Wisconsin, Rutgers, Penn State, Maryland and Ohio State with 50 total kills and hit .413 over the stretch…nine kills and hit .389 at No. 1 Penn State on Nov. 15…third on the team in blocks with 60 for the season…13 kills and hit .440 in win against Rutgers on Oct. 20…Named the MVP of the Dunn Hospitality Invitational in Evansville…over the three matches of that tournament tallied 34 kills and had a .444 hitting percentage.
SOPHOMORE (2016): Played in all 33 matches and 112 of the 114 sets for the Hoosiers in the 2016 season…finished the season with 207 kills and 64 blocks to push her career totals to 343 kills and 107 blocks through two seasons with the program…tied a career-high with 12 kills at Rutgers on 11/20…set career-high with five blocks in the Hoosiers match at Florida Gulf Coast on 9/10…hit .500 with six kills in the Hoosiers win against Cleveland State on 9/17…hit .467 with eight kills in win at Northwestern on 10/23…10 kills and hit .381 in match at Ohio State on 11/26.
FRESHMAN (2015):
Played in 29 matches and 103 sets for the Hoosiers in the 2015 season…136 kills for the season with double-digit kills in three matches…hit .219 in Big Ten matches, the best for a freshman in school history since All-American Ashley Benson…10 kills in her IU debut in win against Bowling Green…led the Hoosiers with nine kills and hit .467 at Minnesota…season-high 12 kills and hit .526 at Nebraska…10 kills and hit .500 in the Hoosiers win at Rutgers…43 blocks on the season including a season-high four in Hoosiers win at Middle Tennessee State.
PREP: Elizabeth Asdell, a native of South Bend, Ind., played for Dan Anderson at Mishawaka Marian... Asdell, a 6’-3” middle and right side hitter was recently honored by being placed on the 2014 Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association First Team-All State... For her senior season, Asdell totaled 528 kills with a .886 hitting percentage and a .494 kill percentage. Asdell earned First Team Northern Indiana Conference honors in 2014 and also excelled off the court as she was named an Academic All-State Honorable Mention... Asdell helped her team to a 129-18 record over four years with sectional and regional championships in 2013 and 2014 and the team was a Semi-State Finalist in 2013.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Dr. Jay and Rulan Asdell...born July 4, 1997...has a brother Patrick, who is a 2012 Indiana University graduate...major is Human Biology.
