Bio
SOPHOMORE YEAR (1985-86)
1985 was a disappoint year for Angie Dunn. She was just coming off a very promising rookie season and was preparing to prove herself to the new coaches when she tore her anterior cruciate shortly after practice started in the fall. She is back in the lineup this season ready to pick up where she left off. With two starting guard positions open, her chances of doing just that look promising. At 6-0 she is taller than most guards, but she is quick and moves easily about the floor. As a freshman, Angie played in 22 games and even got two starting nods. Her short career has been highlighted by a 64-58 win over Wyoming in which she accumulated nine points, nine assists, seven steals and five rebounds. It is always tough to be injured, but with Angie's positive attitude, 1986-1987 should hold nothing but good things for this athlete.
FRESHMAN YEAR (1984-85)
After coming into the Indiana program as one of the nation's best prep basketball players, Angie Dunn quickly became a key "sixth man" by contributing on the court in a variety of ways. She played in 22 games during her first season and came through for the Hoosiers in several games during the tough pre-conference schedule. With the ability to work outside or penetrate inside, Dunn was always good for four or five points during six to nine-minute playing opportunities each game. Very versatile for a six-footer, she highlighted her rookie season with a nine-point performance in a 64-58 win over Wyoming in which she also totaled nine assists, seven steals and five rebounds. she led all non-starters in steals with 17 and was sixth in steals overall.
PREP
Dunn, South Carolina's 1984 player of the year, joined high school teammate Rosie Carlton as a member of Indiana's top notch 1984 recruiting class. She was a two-time all-state selection and Carnation all-American, averaging 17 points and 13 rebounds per game her senior year. As an AAU participant she was a first-team all-America selection and was ranked fourth nationally in the free throw category.
PERSONAL
Dunn is a business management major at Indiana with tentative plans to own a sports store or similar business. She was born on April 15, 1966 to James and Marjorie Dunn.
