Sara Johnson

Sara Johnson joined the Hoosiers in July 2015 as a graduate assistant manager and works with the coaching staff to handle day-to-day operations and administrative responsibilities, such as team travel, meals and practice logistics. Johnson came to Indiana with more than 10 years of coaching experience at a variety of levels.
Most recently, Johnson served as a coach at North Oaks Soccer Club in Minnesota, where she worked with the U13 and U18 teams, training four Division I athletes. Prior to her time with North Oaks, Johnson coached for the North Suburban Soccer Association and led the U17 Premier Girls squad to a State Cup championship and MYSA Premier League title. Johnson has also coached at Woodbury Soccer Club and Cottage Grove Soccer Association, in addition to Minnesota’s North High School and Edina High School.
Johnson was a three-time letterwinner at Minnesota from 2004-07, where she was given the team’s Spark Award in 2004 and 2006, in addition to the Rose Grimm Heart and Soul Award in 2007.
Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing Education from Minnesota in 2008 and is pursuing a Master’s Degree from Indiana in Athletic Administration/Sport Management.
