Diane Cassimire is in her fourth year at Indiana. She oversees all event management operations for men's soccer, women’s basketball, track and field, and serves in a secondary role for football. Cassimire also serves as sport administrator for women's water polo.
Prior to her stint at Indiana, she was hired as the Assistant Athletic Director of External Engagement and Game Operations at Western Illinois. She was responsible for the game management of all 17 varsity sports including football, basketball, soccer, track and field, baseball, softball and volleyball. She served as the meet director for the 2019 Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships and 2020 Summit League Cross Country Championships.
Before Western Illinois, she was named the Facilities and Events Director at New York University. She managed the Coles Sports Center before assisting in the decommission of Coles Sports Center and opening of new 404 Fitness Facility. She then managed the 404 Fitness Facility while also providing event management for fencing, basketball, soccer, track, cross country, volleyball, and wrestling. She worked as the meet director for 2016 United Athletic Association (UAA) Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships and the 2017 UAA Conference Cross Country Championships. She also served as the tournament director for the first and second round of the NCAA Women’s Basketball tournament.
Prior to NYU, Cassimire was a full-time intern at Iowa and assisted with the operations of the 2008 NCAA Regional Softball, 2008 Big Ten Women’s Soccer, 2008 Big Ten Men’s Tennis, 2019 Women’s Basketball NCAA Regional and 2009 Women’s Gymnastics NCAA Regional tournament.
Diane lives in Bloomington with her husband, Kristian, and their two sons, Mikah and Emery. She graduated from Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in recreational management and from New York University with a Master’s of Science in sports business management.
