Rachel Ferguson joined the IU volleyball coaching staff on March 26, 2018.
Most recently Ferguson spent the last two years as the Director of Operations at Grand Canyon University. She managed the day-to-day operations for the Women's Indoor Volleyball Program while assisting the Men's Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Programs at the direction of each head coach.
In June of 2017, Ferguson served as the Technical Coordinator for the USA Volleyball Collegiate National Team. She provided DataVolley analysis, video analysis and all other duties as requested during matches and practice for the USA Volleyball Collegiate National Team, held at the University of Minnesota, hosting 35 athletes selected from various colleges following the National Team tryout.
Prior to her time at Grand Canyon University, Ferguson was an assistant coach at North Carolina Central University for the 2015-16 season.
Ferguson served as an assistant varsity coach and head junior varsity coach for Dubuque in 2013 and 2014. Prior to that, Ferguson was a four-year letter winner at Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. She totaled 2,551 assists from the setter position and was instrumental in leading the Student Princes to three Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) championships, one OAC Tournament Championship and four consecutive NCAA Division III Tournament appearances with a career record of 111-35. She was a three-time floor captain and a team captain her senior season.
Ferguson graduated from Heidelberg with a Bachelor of Arts degree in media communications in 2013 and completed her Master of Business Administration at the University of Dubuque in 2015.
