Bio
2019 (SENIOR): Played in 33 matches for the Hoosiers in the 2019 season and 90 career matches…183 kills on the season and 76 blocks…476 kills for her career…six matches on the season with double-digit kills…season-high 12 kills in the Indiana win over Oregon State…season-high eight blocks in the Indiana win against Northwestern…hit .467 with 10 kills in the Hoosiers win against Michigan State on senior day.
At Louisville: Sloan had a breakout season in 2018 as she recorded 225 kills and hit .277 in 25 matches and 85 sets with the Cardinals. In a win against North Carolina, Sloan tallied a career-high 18 kills and hit .372 in the match. Sloan also posted double-digit kills against Florida and Purdue and hit .500 with 11 kills in a win over Duke.
PREP: Sloan played for Jean Kesterson at Cathedral High School and was part of the No. 1 ranked team in the nation and the 2015 IHSAA Class 4A State Champions. Megan was a First Team All-State honoree in her junior and senior seasons and received All-America Honorable Mention honors in 2015.
PERSONAL: Megan is the daughter of Brian and Leslie Sloan. Her father, Brian, was a member of the 1987 Indiana men's basketball National Championship team. Her grandfather, Jerry Sloan is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame. He played in the NBA from 1965-1976 and was the head coach of the Utah Jazz from 1988-2011. Her brother Grant is a sophomore on the IU baseball team and also has a brother, Ben. Sloan plans to pursue a degree in business at Indiana University. Birth date is May 7, 1998.
