2023-24 (Redshirt Sophomore): Went 21-15 on the season … had 11 bonus-point victories with seven pins … went 6-6 in dual appearances … took third place at The Battle at The Citadel … fifth place at PRTC Keystone Classic … fourth place at Sheridan Tournament … third place at Southern Scuffle … went 1-3 at Big Ten Championships including an opening-round win over No. 20 Shane Liegel (Wisconsin) … earned Academic All-Big Ten honors … named an NWCA Scholar All-American … was IU Athletics Male Scholar-Athlete of the Month for October 2023.
2022-23 (Redshirt Freshman –– at South Dakota State): Compiled a 17-8 record at 184 lbs. … took first place at both the Worthington and Don Parker Opens … earned a third-place finish at the Last Chance Open and a fourth-place finish at the Bison Open … made his first collegiate dual appearance against Augustana (Nov. 18) when he won in a 3-1 decision over Augustana’s Cade Mueller … of his 17 wins, nine of them were bonus-point victories, including seven pins and two wins by major decision.
2021-22 (Redshirt ––– at South Dakota State): Redshirted … competed in only open tournaments … posted an 8-2 record … won first place in the Freshman/Sophomore division at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open (Nov. 28) … took second place at the Doane Open (Dec. 4) … third-place finish at the UNI Open (Dec. 11).
Prep: Graduated from Stillwater High School, started his prep career at East Ridge High School in the Twin Cities metropolitan area … had a 223-54 record in high school … won two individual state titles, claiming first at 182 lbs. as a junior and first at 195 lbs. his senior season … 158 of his 223 wins were pins, the eighth-most pins in Minnesota state history … he had 41 pins in his junior year, the fourth-most for an individual season in Minnesota state history … five-time all-conference honoree and a five-time state qualifier … two-time academic all-state selection.
