Seeded #11 in the 157-pound weight class ... has set an all-time IU record with 25 pins this season, leading the country in that category ... his 46 career falls are second-most in school history (47, Viktor Sveda, 1998- 2002) ... finished the regular season ranked eighth nationally by the NCAA Coaches Panel and 12th in the RPI ... placed fifth at the Big Ten Championships to earn an automatic NCAA bid ... won the championship at the Clarion Open, Michigan State Open and Keystone Classic, pinning four opponents at each ... tabbed the Big Ten Wrestler of the Week after seizing the Clarion Open crown ... swept through the Hoosier Duals and Manchester dual, sticking all six op- ponents ... reached the Midlands finals after four falls extended his consecu- tive pinning streak to 15 straight opponents ... 34 overall wins are top-10 in the country and rank second in the Big Ten ... notched a 6-2 decision over #17 Spartak Chino (Ohio) in the MSU Open semifinals.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2012-13)
         Advanced to second straight NCAA Championships, blanking #3-seed Joseph Napoli (Lehigh),        6-0, in his opening bout ... racked up a total of six victories over nationally-ranked        opponents ... posted an overall mark of 30-12 with eight pins, two tech falls and three        major decisions ... dominated dual match competition, going 14-2 with a +50 team point        differential in 16 starts, including a 6-2 tally during the Big Ten dual slate ... led or        shared the team lead in wins, falls, tech falls and dual point differential ... slotted        12th and 14th in the final NCAA Coaches Panel and RPI national rankings, respectively ...        finished runner-up in the Hokie Open, going 4-1 with a pin ... placed fourth at the        Midlands (5-2, two pins) and fifth at the Keystone Classic (4-2, twos pins, major decision)        ... swept both the Huskie Duals and Hoosier Duals ... an Academic All-Big Ten        selection.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2011-12)
         Advanced to the NCAA Championships, earning the No. 11 seed at 149 pounds ... compiled an        overall record of 29-12 with 13 pins, three major decisions and a tech fall ... his 13-fall        total is the 10th-highest total in school history and ranked fifth in the Big Ten for the        2011-12 season ... stuck his 13th opponent at the NCAAs, pinning Chattanooga's Dean Pavlou        in just 62 seconds ... finished the regular season ranked 18th nationally by Intermat, 14th        in the RPI and 19th by the Coaches Panel ... ascended as high as No. 9 in the Intermat        rankings ... placed fourth at the Big Ten Championships, topping #19 Eric Terrazas        (Illinois) and #12 Ivan Lopouchanski (Purdue) in the process ... was victorious in five of        seven Big Ten duals ... won the 149-pound title at the Michigan State Open ... defeated #5        Eric Grajales (Michigan) and Dan Osterman (Michigan State) while up in East Lansing ...        also owned wins over #11 Mike Kelly (Iowa), #18 Osterman (MSU) and #15 Terrazas during the        dual-match season ... put together a 13-match winning streak midseason ... swept the IU        Quad with three pins, all coming in less than 90 seconds ... went 3-0 in the Hoosier Duals        as well ... an Academic All-Big Ten selection.
REDSHIRT SEASON (2010-11)
         Compiled 21 wins, a tournament title, eight falls and three major decisions in his 21-5        redshirt campaign ... placed in the top-four of his final four events, including a title in        the Greyhound Open ... took second at the UNI Open, third at the Cleveland State Open and        fourth at the National Collegiate Open.
PREP/PERSONAL
         A two-time state champion for Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill N.J. ... advanced        to the state finals three times ... earned three NHSCA and one Fargo All-America honors ...        compiled an overall high school record of 146-12 with 99 falls and 20 tech falls ... led        Camden Catholic High to four consecutive team state championships ... also played golf and        ran cross country ... the son of Sandra and Matthew Walsh ... born on Aug. 28, 1991 ... has        two brothers, Cody and Chad; and a sister, Fallon ...
