Bailey Gesteland

Bailey Gesteland is in his second season as an assistant athletic performance coach working with the Indiana Cross Country, Softball, Diving and Track and Field programs.
He also worked part-time as strength and conditioning coach at the University of Illinois from 2021-2022 working with Women’s Golf, Women’s Tennis, Cheer and Volleyball teams.
Prior to Illinois, he was a Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant at West Virginia University from 2019-21.
He completed a fellowship at the Michigan Strength and Conditioning Program for the 2018-2019 school year and worked with the track and field program.
Gesteland graduated with a Bachelors of Kinesiology from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where he was an academic All-American Track and Field athlete and earned a master’s degree in Performance Coaching from West Virginia University.
Gesteland is National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) Certified, Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) Certified, Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Certified and United States of America Weightlifting (USAW-L1) certified.
He has an Australian Shepard named Kilo.
