Bobby Teel joined the Indiana Athletics Department as an Athletic Performance Coach in September of 2023. In this role, Bobby collaborates with sport coaches, sports medicine staff members, and sport scientists to design and implement comprehensive strength & conditioning programs. Bobby primarily supports the Men’s Soccer and Track & Field programs as well as assists with daily operations in the Wilkinson Performance Center. Bobby joins Indiana with previous experience working in professional and collegiate sport. Prior to arriving in Bloomington, Bobby served as an Academy Strength & Conditioning Coach with MLS Club St. Louis City SC.

In his role with St. Louis City, Bobby was a fully integrated member of the coaching staff for the MLS NEXT U15 and U17 Academy teams. Bobby provided soccer coaches with assistance in thematic planning and practice planning. Additionally, Bobby utilized GPS technology to help monitor load, create dialogue, and drive decision making regarding practice activities. Bobby also oversaw the design and implementation of all on-field and gym-based strength & conditioning activities for the teams he worked with.

Prior to St. Louis City SC, Bobby worked with Milwaukee Athletics as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. At Milwaukee, Bobby worked directly with the Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Swim and Dive, and Cross Country programs Milwaukee. Prior to Milwaukee, Bobby served SIUE Athletics as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Performance Coach. At SIUE, Bobby oversaw the design and implementation of athletic performance programming for Women's Soccer and Track and Field. In April of 2022, Bobby was voted the SIUE Staff Member of the Year by the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Bobby also completed internships at Wisconsin-Parkside, Marquette, Minnesota, and Milwaukee. Bobby is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Certified Level 1 Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting (USAW), and a Certified Speed Specialist through the USA Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Bobby earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and Kinesiology from Milwaukee and a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Exercise and Sport Psychology from SIUE.
