Hailing from Auburn, Indiana, Brooke Richardson (nee Leins) is a double graduate from the University of Indianapolis, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership and Design.

Richardson’s interest in a career in college athletics was truly cemented after serving as a Graduate Assistant with the Greyhound Club at UIndy, the development arm of the Athletic Department. Following graduation, she was hired with the NCAA Eligibility Center, where she spent three years and became an initial eligibility expert.
Passionate about returning to campus, Richardson was hired as the Assistant Director of Compliance at Indiana University in Fall 2022. She was promoted to Associate Director in Fall 2024 and now serves as the Director of Compliance for Eligibility. In her current role, she oversees eligibility for all incoming and continuing student-athletes for all 24 sports at IU. She works closely with coaches, prospective student-athletes, current student-athletes, and campus partners to navigate NCAA rules and institutional requirements.

Richardson also serves as the primary compliance liaison for Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Swimming & Diving, and Baseball. Along with her responsibilities in the compliance office, Richardson serves on the NCAA Eligibility Center Division I Advisory Group.

In her free time, Richardson loves to golf. She and her husband, Blake, reside in Indianapolis.
