Eduardo "Eddie" Ramirez is an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Indiana University, serving as the lead strength and conditioning coach for Women’s Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Swimming, and Men’s Golf. Since joining Indiana in 2022, Ramirez has worked to create training environments centered on accountability, performance, and long-term athlete development.
Eddie believes strength and conditioning is about more than simply becoming stronger or faster. His approach emphasizes educating student-athletes on the purpose behind their training while helping them develop the physical and mental qualities necessary to perform at their highest level. He strives to build resilient athletes who understand that consistent preparation, attention to detail, and accountability are essential components of high-level performance.
At Indiana, Eddie has helped prepare eight athletes for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, including two Olympic silver medalists. He has also contributed to Women’s Volleyball earning a 2025 NCAA Tournament Top 16 appearance, Men’s Swimming & Diving winning four consecutive Big Ten Championships, and Women’s Swimming & Diving achieving a 2024 Big Ten Championship team performance.
Before joining Indiana, Eddie served as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach and Interim Head Strength Coach at Franklin Pierce University, overseeing strength and conditioning operations for all varsity programs. He previously gained experience working with a variety of NCAA sports at George Mason University, the University of Texas, and Syracuse University.
Eddie earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from George Mason University. He holds the Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the NSCA and the Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) certification through the CSCCA.
