A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, List joined IU Athletics as the Assistant Athletic Director in July 2022. She is responsible for overseeing the internship program and all the office’s rules education efforts and serves as the office’s liaison to Women’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer, Swimming and Diving, and Volleyball. She is also involved in the department’s LGTBQ+ SA Group, Hoosiers Outloud. This is actually her second stop at Bloomington, as she started her compliance career as an intern with the IU Athletics Compliance office in 2014 while she was in law school!
List’s compliance career has taken her a number of places: NAAC, the compliance industry’s professional association in Cleveland, Ohio; Ohio University in Athens, Ohio; University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky; and Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Although focused in athletics compliance, her roles varied at each institution, covering a wide variety compliance topics. At her most recent stop at Xavier, she also had the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Sport Administrator to the Men’s and Women’s Soccer and Women’s Lacrosse teams.
List earned her undergraduate degree in Music Business from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and a JD from IU’s Maurer School of Law. A licensed attorney and the crafter of the office, List and her wife Jen, also an IU alum, live in Cincinnati, Ohio with their two dogs, Mabel and Piper.

My Favorite IU Memory? Listening to IU beat Kentucky in Men’s Basketball in 2011 on the Wat shot. I was in Tennessee and had to listen on the radio, but it was UK radio – made the win that much sweeter.
Favorite Milk? Oat Milk
If I could have any superpower, what would it be? I would be able to apparate so I would have to waste time traveling from place to place. Maybe I would be on time to things!
