From Muncie, Ind, Kate Vinson is a graduate of Ball State University, earning a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Sport Administration. While at Ball State, she was a four-year member of the Women’s Volleyball team and was a Graduate Assistant in Ball State’s Compliance Office for the duration of her Master’s.
Following graduation, Vinson joined Indiana University as an Assistant Director of Compliance in July 2025. In her current role, she monitors official visits, outside competition, camps and clinics, and initial eligibility. She also serves as the compliance contact for the women’s golf, women’s water polo, women’s tennis, and men’s golf programs.
Vinson currently resides in Bloomington.
