Kylie Durkee

Kylie Durkee is in her second season as Director of Athletic Performance with Indiana Women’s Basketball.
Durkee (Durr-key) holds various certifications including SCCC, CSCS, USAW, FMS, RPR, CISSN arrived in Bloomington after a two-year stint (2022-24) at the University of Houston where she was the Director of Sports Performance for the women's basketball and volleyball teams. In her first year with the two programs, Durkee's volleyball athlete won the American Athletic Conference Championship and made a run to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1994. Durkee's women's basketball team finished league play with a 10-5 record and made it to the American Athletic Conference Championship game for the first time in program history.
Prior to Houston, Durkee served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Mercer, of the women's basketball and soccer teams. While with the Bears, she oversaw the year-round comprehensive strength and conditioning programs while also executing nutritional strategies. The Green Bay, Wisc., native also oversaw graduate assistants and contributed to internship curriculum and implementation.
Before her time at Mercer, Durkee spent time at the University of North Florida where she served as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Softball, Men's Soccer, Track & Field & Women's Golf programs, designing and implementing year-round comprehensive training programs. She got her start as a Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistant Coach at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. While earning her master's degree in Kinesiology, she served as the Assistant Strength Coach for Softball, Men's Soccer, and Swimming & Diving, while assisting with the Football, Track & Field & Hockey Programs.
Durkee earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise & Sport Science, and a double minor in Nutrition & Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. During this time, she interned at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she gained experience working with women's & men's Basketball, hockey, golf, dance and cheer programs.
In 2019, Durkee was the recipient of the Lance Vermeil Scholarship; a scholarship awarded to a qualified & committed young strength and conditioning coach in the field. She was recognized for her continued determination to grow and learn within the field.
Durkee married her husband Zach Durkee in June 2021, and they have two dogs, Possum and Balto, and two cats, Nala & Rufus.
